Nothing is more likely to turn a great product into one that people obsess over than a low price. I’ve seen Aussie’s Deeeeep Conditioner in beauty magazines at least half a dozen times, and for good reason: It works as well as the expensive hair masks, and it’s only $3.70. That’s incredible — so incredible that I’ll forgive Aussie the misplaced apostrophe on the packaging.
This might disappoint some of you, but Procter and Gamble owns Aussie. It’s branded as an Australian line because the products contain ingredients from Australian plants. (Deeeeep Conditioner contains Australian sea kelp.) That’s the only potentially disappointing thing about this conditioner, though. As long as you know how to use it, that is.
I don’t follow the instructions on the packaging of deep conditioners. Instead, I do this, except I leave Deeeeep in overnight. It needs the extra time. Just shampoo and condition in the morning. You’ll have insanely soft hair. Because this conditioner is so cheap, you can use a generous portion, and you’ll want to: It smells intoxicatingly tropical. I usually use about 1/4 cup, and I get about five or six deep uses per bottle. Speaking of which, Aussie has the best packaging ever. I’m of the opinion that all products should have their opening at the bottom. This one does, and there isn’t even a cap. You just have to squeeze. It’s crazy convenient.
I’ve used this deep conditioner the way the bottle instructs (Leave it in for 2 minutes and 45 seconds after shampooing.), but leaving the conditioner in overnight yields significantly better results. Yesterday, my hair was dirty, ragged and fried. Today it’s silky, straight and Pantene commercial worthy. Try it. You won’t believe how soft and shiny your hair is.
