Believe it or not, I’m all about saving money. Mostly so that I have more to spend on product. And shoes. One of my favorite ways to pinch pennies is using my favorite shadow shades as liner. It’s quick and easy, and this super skinny brush and a drop of water is all you need.
There’s no better way to match shadow to liner than using the shadow itself. Just run the brush under water and shake off the excess so that you don’t flood the shadow. Gently gather shadow on the brush as you would normally. Then just wiggle it wherever you want to draw your line. The soft, fine bristles make it even easier than using a pencil.
If you need a gel or liquid finish, you can use a tiny squirt of gloss rather than water. Just mix it in the lid of the shadow. You’ll also want to be sure that you’ve used a lid primer. I’m partial to Stay Don’t Stray. This brush is actually made to be used with Bobbi Brown’s gel liner. I prefer to use it to mix my own liners, but it also works well for its intended purpose. This brush is $25, and because you can create as many liners as shadows you own, it’s a bargain.
