Deep, dark secret: I want to smell like bananas foster

As promised via Twitter, I’m back. I disappeared so that I could take some time to get used to my new schedule and come up with a coherent plan for what I wanted the new Productista to be. I’m hereby devoted to writing about tips, tricks, trends and the occasional product obsession. I’m no pro, but I’ve certainly spent more than my fair share of time of playing with product. Caffeine, skyscrapers and working hard.

If you’ve been reading this blog for pretty much any length of time, you’re aware that I am not a morning person in the slightest. The first three nights of my new job I came home, showered, ate and went straight to bed. Being awake before 8 is an incredibly difficult thing for me to cope with. When I learned that I would be starting at Lancôme, I promptly bought myself a Keurig machine. (I’m currently drinking Gloria Jean’s Buttered Toffee. Noms.) This thing takes me from zombie to human in no time flat. I adore it.

Productista is changing!

You might have noticed that I’ve been a bit, er, distant lately. It’s not you, it’s me. I’ve been keeping a little secret from you, and I’m finally ready to let the cat out of the bag: I’ve accepted a position at L’Oréal, and I couldn’t be happier about it. This means, of course, that there will be some changes to Productista, which is why I’ve been taking some time off.  For the most part, I won’t be reviewing products anymore due to conflict of interest issues. Instead, I’ll post about trends, tricks and other beauty-related goodness. I can’t thank you enough for coming on this journey with me.

Three products I wish weren’t discontinued

It happens to all of us. We fall in love with a product, then poof! It’s gone. If you’re lucky, you can figure out when something’s going to be discontinued and stock up on it. These are three things that I wish were still around.
